Alkesh Dinesh Mody Institute for Financial and Management Studies (ADMIFMS) was co-founded by Shri Dineshbhai Mody in loving memory of his son, Late Shri Alkeshbhai D. Mody, a dynamic stockbroker and a noble soul.
Established in 1994 as a Department of the University of Mumbai, the Institute was envisioned to offer management education with a specialized focus on financial services. It was conceived in response to the growing need for Indian professionals capable of managing business and capital market operations in an increasingly dynamic financial environment.
The Institute's academic journey began in year 1994 with the Diploma in Investment Studies (D.I.S.). In 1998, this diploma was upgraded to a two-year postgraduate degree, Master's in Financial Services and Management. Building on this success, the undergraduate Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) program was launched in year 2000. In year 2002, with due approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the Institute introduced its flagship Master of Management Studies (MMS) program.
In 2019, the Institute further expanded its academic portfolio with the launch of the M.Sc. (Finance) program. Continuing this momentum, the BMS-MMS Five-Year Integrated Program was introduced in 2024-25, and upcoming in the pipeline is the B. Com (Retail Operations Management) under the Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Program (AEDP), scheduled for launch in the Academic Year 2025-26.
The Institute also offers a doctoral research program (Ph.D.) in Management, reaffirming its commitment to advanced scholarship and research excellence.
