History
Government Engineering College, West Champaran founded by Government of Bihar under “Saat Nischaya” with the motive of facilitating the contribution of youth towards economic and social betterment, through development of higher education and strengthening the supply side of skilled workers in the state. It was established in the year 2019 under Department of Science and Technology, Bihar in West Champaran district of Bihar. College is affiliated with Bihar Engineering University, Patna and approved by All India Council for Technical Education.
College’s proposed building which is under construction is located in Kumar Bagh that is 7 KM away from district head quarter Bettiah.

It gives me immense pleasure to give a warm and affectionate welcome to all the students who aspire to be a part of the intellectual fraternity at Government Engineering College West Champaran. The college, though in its infancy stage, is leading towards getting distinction on academic prospects through steady hard work and dedication. Being established in Champaran, the Karmbhoomi of Mahatma Gandhi, college is committed to generate the most conducive environment for creation and diffusion of knowledge guided by ground-breaking thinking, scientific enquiry, human values and sustainable life on the blue planet.
Apart from being actively engaged in the consistent roles of a dissemination and application of knowledge, college has imprinted out a roadmap for a long journey into territories of science and technology. We have initiated our concerted efforts to provide all possible well professional development of our students. Based on skill development and capacity building, we aim at preparing accountable, industrious, and caring citizens ready to meet the challenges of global society without, however, drifting from the great cultural heritage of Bihar. The college aims to streamline its procedures and mechanisms to boost all round competence in performance and service delivery as well as inculcating a healthy work culture among students.
