Students are imparted requisite skills, such as planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, leadership and oversight. These are in sync with the present-day needs of the industry. The programs offered here are aimed at overall development of the students that not only instill confidence, knowledge and a value system but also help enhance their potential.To make students employable and industry-ready, Industry-academia partnership platforms like conclaves, roundtables, and seminars are a regular feature in the institution.
Apart from credit-based courses providing the required core skills, HSMS also offers non-credit courses such as Communicative English, Disaster Management, Environmental Studies, etc.
Like most rural parts of the country, Uttarakhand also faces the threat of migration. Students are also given exposure to rural management which too could, in future times, help provide a solution to the problem of isolation of villages.
