JAWAHARLAL NEHRU CHARITABLE EDUCATIONAL TRUST, BORAWAN was founded in 1996 under the Trust Registration Act with the registration no.1/95-96 dated 13-06-1996 by Late Shri Subhash Ji Yadav a man with the vision to serve the community at large. Since its inception the trust is striving hard for the development of poor & weaker section of the society viz, SC, ST, OBC & Minority.
During the last 20 years trust had made deliberate efforts for the development of rural youth belonging to SC ST & OBC category by establishing various education Institutes to empower them in all aspects as financially & socially. Trust had developed an educational complex as “VidyaVihar” in the village – Borawan, Tehsil – Kasrawad District – Khargone (M.P.) 451228.

Jawaharlal Institute of Technology, (Borawan), Khargone is promoted by “Jawaharlal Nehru Charitable Educational Trust, Borawan” under the dynamic leadership of its principal trustee Late Shri Subhash Yadav Former Deputy Chief Minister, Govt of M.P. who has a special contribution in agriculture, the Co-Operative movement, Panchayati Raj, Educational and social welfare activities. His participation in numerous international, national and state level meetings, seminars has endowed him with a progressive outlook and futuristic vision for entering the new millennium by creating modern facilities for technical education.
The Jawaharlal Nehru Sahakari Agricultural Produce Processing Society Ltd. Khargone (Previously Spinning Mill) is the promoter of the Jawaharlal Nehru Charitable Educational Trust. It has a successful track record of 20 years of producing quality cotton yarn. Moreover, the society has also created a trust entitled the Jawaharlal Nehru Educational Charitable trust, Borawan which was registered on 13.06.1996 under Registration No. 1 (95-96) at TahsilKasrawad, Distt, Khargone with a motto to create an institution of excellence in the field of technical education for the young minds.
