Mohammadiya Institute of Computer Technology (MICT) is a private postgraduate college located in Arempula, on the Warangal Highway in Khammam District, Telangana. The college was established in the early 2000s with a vision to provide quality education in the fields of computer science and management, with a focus on rural and semi-urban student communities.
MICT is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It offers two major postgraduate programs:
- Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Both programs are designed to provide students with practical knowledge, theoretical foundations, and the skills necessary to succeed in the modern job market.
The campus features basic but essential infrastructure such as spacious classrooms, computer laboratories, a central library, seminar halls, cafeteria, and transport facilities. Separate hostel accommodations are available for boys and girls.
The college puts strong emphasis on professional skill development alongside academics. Soft skills training, communication enhancement, technical seminars, and workshops are conducted regularly to improve the employability of students.
The Training and Placement Cell works toward connecting students with career opportunities in IT, administration, banking, sales, and other business sectors. While the scale of placements may be limited compared to metro-based colleges, students have been placed in entry-level roles in both private and public organizations.
Apart from academics, MICT also encourages participation in cultural events, technical fests, and community service activities like NSS, aiming at the all-round development of students.
