Mumbai Digital Films Academy
For over sixteen years, we have dedicated ourselves to the art of teaching. We see ourselves as bridges—guiding our students across with care and purpose. Once they’ve crossed, we joyfully step back, empowering them to forge their own unique paths. Our mission is not just to instruct, but to inspire independent thinkers, creators, and storytellers who will shape the future of cinema.
Our Teaching Philosophy
You can practice shooting eight hours a day — but if your technique is flawed, you’re only perfecting the wrong habits. Master the fundamentals, and everything you do will rise to a higher level.
- MDFA offers a creative space designed to unlock your imagination and bring your stories to life.
- Our training is rooted in hands-on, practical experience — supported by essential theory to build a strong creative foundation.
- At MDFA, we understand that every learner is unique. That’s why our faculty provides personalized guidance tailored to each student’s pace, learning style, and creative vision. Whether you're just starting out or refining your craft, we’re here to support your journey.
Screenplay Writing
This course is tailored for aspiring screenwriters who are passionate about crafting compelling stories for the screen. We explore every creative aspect of screenplay writing — from concept development to structure, character arcs, dialogue, and visual storytelling. Whether you're writing for advertising films, short films, or feature-length productions, this program equips you with the tools and techniques to bring your ideas to life with clarity and impact.
We give focused attention to story structuring and character building — the foundational elements of impactful screenwriting.
A brilliant writer is someone deeply devoted to expressing creativity through the written word. Devotion is the key. A true writer isn’t defined by being published — but by the act of writing itself. Practice, repetition, and consistency are what shape great storytellers.

At MDFA, our motto is simple: Learn by Doing. We believe the more you sweat in practice, the less you bleed in battle. That’s why we provide a deeply hands-on environment where students learn by creating — not just watching.
- We constantly remind our students: “You can get better. Your best work is still ahead of you.” And the key to growth? Practice. Practice. Practice.
🎥 Real-World Projects
- Each student completes 15+ practical projects over the year — including short films, documentaries, advertisement films, and music videos.
💼 Professionalism from Day One
- We treat our students as professionals from day one, instilling real-world discipline, work ethic, and creative responsibility.
🤝 Lifelong Mentorship
- Our students are our pride and responsibility. We support them until they can stand independently — and we never truly leave.
