MVP Samaj's College of Pharmacy

Established in 1982, Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj’s College of Pharmacy is a government- aided institution located in Nashik and nestled within a 2.5-acre plot within the city. Its strategic location places it approximately 1km from the main Nashik bus stand and 10 km from the Nashik Road railway station. The college holds permanent affiliation with the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Mumbai, and Savitribai Phule Pune University (formerly University of Pune), Pune. Moreover, it holds approvals from the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and University Grants Commission (UGC) under Sections 2(f) and 12(b) of New Delhi. Offering a range of Pharmacy courses including D. Pharmacy, B. Pharmacy, M. Pharmacy, and Ph.D., the college also provides value-added certificate courses (D. Voc.) in DRA and IPR under NSQF level-5, approved by UGC and affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. Notably, its B. Pharmacy (Grant-in-Aid) course is re-accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for the period of June 2022 up to June 2025, and the college has secured a position in the NIRF band 102-125. The college has recently initiated a patent filing facility known as Pradnya. Facilities at the college encompass an administrative block, classrooms, laboratories, library, ladies’ room, student room, staff room, conference room, computer lab, and instrument room. A sophisticated instrument laboratory (SIL) equipped with advanced tools such as ATIR, Brookfield viscometer, dissolution apparatus, DSC, flash chromatography, FT-IR, GC, GC-MS, HPLC, HPTLC, particle size analyzers, and UV spectrophotometers further enhances the learning environment. The college’s library houses an extensive collection of text and reference books, along with chemical abstracts and COPSAT resources. The college’s forte lies in its consistent track record of producing a high number of undergraduate students who qualify for prestigious national-level exams such as GPAT, GATE, and NIPER. The college also boasts an outstanding placement record for postgraduate and Ph. D students across diverse pharmaceutical industries.
