National Post Graduate College or NPGC is an autonomous college, located in Lucknow. Established in the year 1974, National PG College is affiliated to Lucknow University and accredited by the NAAC with an ‘A’ grade. Among 16 Universities and more than 150 degree colleges, NPGC is the only college awarded with the status of “College with Potential for Excellence” in Lucknow.
NPGC Lucknow offers various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, and Certificate programs through the faculties of Arts, Science, Commerce, and Computer Applications to more than 5500 students. Admissions at the National PG College are offered based on scores obtained in the entrance examination or marks secured in the qualifying examination
NPGC Lucknow Course & Fees
National PG College offers over 32 courses across undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, PG diploma, and certification levels. Some of its flagship UG and PG courses include BBA, B.Voc, B.Com, M.Voc, and M.Com. In addition to its regular courses, the college also offers advanced diploma, PG diploma, and 6-month-long certification courses to its students. Additionally, it offers UG and PG programs for skill development under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Kaushal Kendra. National Post Graduate College Admissions 2024
Admissions to NPGC Lucknow for UG programs such as BBA, BBA(MS), BCA, B.Com.(Hons.), B.Voc. and BAJMC are offered based on Lucknow University Associated Colleges Management Admission Test (LUACMAT) scores. Additionally, National PG College conducts LUACCET (Lucknow University Associated College Common Entrance Test) for entrance to B.Com. and B.Sc. (Math) programs. Admissions to PG programs are offered based on marks secured in the qualifying examination.
National PG College admission process usually begins in March or April and the entrance test is conducted in June every year. Application forms for NPGC Lucknow admissions are released online on the official website at npgc.in. Interested candidates can apply for the desired program by paying an application fee of INR 900.
NPGC Lucknow Results
A semester-based examination system is followed throughout all the courses in the National PG College. The semester system divides the academic year into two terms, roughly 22–24 weeks each. Examinations are ordinarily conducted at the end of each semester in November-December and April-May. The maximum marks for each theory and practical course (including the project work and Viva Voce examination) is 100.
Students can check their semester-end examination results online. Results for these exams are released on the official website of the college, @npgc.in. Candidates are advised to download and take a printout of their results for future reference.

NPGC Lucknow Placements
National PG College has a placement cell that organizes student placement drives. Various internships and job opportunities are offered to the students in these campus drives organised regularly. The official placement data has not yet been released by the college. However, as per collegedunia reviews, around 65-70% of the students got placed in several national and multinational companies with an average salary package of 3-4 LPA.

NPGC Lucknow Campus and Facilities
National Post Graduate College is situated close to the banks of the river Gomti in the heart of the city. It has a lush green campus and is surrounded by some major institutions - Academic and Administrative. Its campus is well-equipped with labs, a computerized library, e-library, data analysis centre, and air-conditioned reading rooms. NSS and NCC programmes are also part of the outreach activities of the college. Below is a detailed list of the facilities offered at National PG College:
- Library: National Post Graduate College has a huge library at its campus which is spread over 743.22 sq. mtrs. The library has more than 65,000 print volumes and 40,300 special collections. It has a conventional section of books, journals, and periodicals, e-research centres, INFLIBNET facility, audio-visual study material, advanced reference books for teachers and PG students, air-conditioned reading room, answer copies of toppers, question papers of previous years, magazines, a photocopy and print out section, and student information section. The total seating capacity of the library is 80 and there are also 52 individual reading carrels.
- Hostel: National PG College has separate hostels for boys and girls. The girls hostel has a capacity of 155 students and the boys hostel has a capacity of 100 boys. The National Post Graduate hostel building is well-equipped with internet facility, medical facilities, guest house for parents, gymnasium, badminton court, cultural hall, water coolers with purifiers, geysers, photocopy machine, generator sets, AC rooms, common rooms with TVs, common reading area, mess, and CCTV security.
- Canteen: The college campus also provides a canteen facility to its students and faculty members. It caters to the nutritional needs of students and teachers and prepares food in the most hygienic conditions. The canteen is spacious and well-furnished with an intercom facility and is situated within the campus next to the car parking lot. It offers a wide range of vegetarian North Indian, South Indian and Continental dishes, beverages, flavoured milk, tea and coffee at subsidised rates.
- Medical Facilities: The college departments are provided with first-aid kits to meet any emergencies. Moreover, medical centres are situated in close vicinity where patients from the college are attended to on priority basis.
- Sports: Various sports activities, competitions, tournaments and events are organised at the National PG College campus. Students here get proper training for participation in both indoor and outdoor games. Inter degree collegiate cricket tournaments and annual athletic tournaments are held by the department of Sports and Physical Education. Students are also provided with all the necessary equipment and facilities to participate in sport events organised by other agencies and institutions of Higher Education. Alongside, special training to girls’ students is given for self-defence.
- Other Facilities: The college campus has an auditorium with a seating capacity of 800 students. It also has an evaluation cell, secrecy cell, administrative block, central library, underground parking, office rooms, and common rooms. For visually-challenged students, the college has facilities like audio books, screen-reading software, Braille display and scanning facilities. The college is also installing elevators and ramps for the use of physically-challenged students.
