History
Purnea College of Engineering, Purnea is a Government Engineering College established in 2017. Inaugural of this Institute was held on 17 Feb 2019 by the honorable chief minister of Bihar, Sri Nitish Kumar. It is affiliated to Bihar Engineering University (BEU), Patna . The College is under the Department of Science and Technology Patna, Bihar. The institute offers B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, and Computer Science & Engineering(Artificial Intelligence). Mechanical and Mechatronics Enginnering have only intake 30 capacity and other course has an intake capacity of 60 approved by AICTE, New Delhi.

I am honoured to lead a team of wonderful faculty and administrators. Together, we help students learn, reflect and prepare to surmount every challenge created by a swiftly changing and highly competitive world. Administration
Administration and Management:- Purnea College of Engineering is a full-fledged Govt. Institution in the Deptt. of Science Technology and Technical Education, Govt. of Bihar and is bound to function as such. However in Academic and related areas it has to be responsive and participants in the decisions and deliberations of All India Council for Technical Education and other apex bodies like Indian School for Technical Education, Technical Teachers Training Institutes etc. ensuring innovations in Pedagogical and practical aspects of Technical Education. The Administration and Management of the Institute are oriented to these ends too.
Though the Principal is the overall in-charge of all activities and movements of the Institute for smooth functioning and making administration work efficient the following service departments work each under a Professor of proven capability.

The Institute is academically governed by Bihar Engineering University (BEU), Patna which is the degree awarding authority for the institute as B.Tech. and is recognized by the A.I.C.T.E., New Delhi, and the Government of Bihar State.
