Introduction
Rajkiya Engineering College Banda (REC Banda) is a government engineering college in Attara, Uttar Pradesh. It was established in 2010 and offers various undergraduate and postgraduate engineering courses. It is ranked 287 by Collegedunia in 2024. REC Banda is affiliated with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University and approved by AICTE.
REC Banda offers B.Tech. courses in Electrical engineering, IT, and mechanical engineering. The first-year fee is INR 62,500 for all three courses. Admission to various B.Tech courses is done based on the JEE Mains score, followed by the UPTAC counselling. REC Banda Admissions 2025
To gain admission into B.Tech courses at Rajkiya Engineering College, Banda (REC Banda), candidates first need to have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry, securing at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories). Next, candidates must qualify for JEE Main 2025, as REC Banda admissions are based on JEE Main scores.
After results are announced, typically in April, candidates register for UPTAC counseling conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) starting in June. REC Banda Cutoffs 2025
The cutoffs for 2025 are not released yet. But the 2024 cutoffs give us a good estimate. The JEE Mains last round cutoffs for the B.Tech. IT specialisation reached up to 146,000. The electrical and mechanical engineering had a lower demand, with the cutoffs going up to 259,000 and 387,000.
