RKMGEC is located in Agharpur, approximately 20 kilometers from Purulia town. The campus spans over 33 acres, offering a serene and conducive environment for academic pursuits. The rural setting provides a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for focused learning and personal development.
Infrastructure and Facilities
The college boasts modern infrastructure equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to support the academic and extracurricular needs of students:
- Classrooms and Laboratories: RKMGEC houses 20 classrooms, 5 e-classrooms, and 55 laboratories, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience. Additionally, there is a common computing center with 120 computers, providing students with access to necessary software and resources.

- Hostel Facilities: RKMGEC offers four hostels—two for boys and two for girls. The boys' hostels have a combined capacity of 570 seats, while the girls' hostels can accommodate 146 students. Each hostel has its own mess, managed by an elected mess committee, ensuring quality food and hygiene.

Admissions are conducted through the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE), with a 10% lateral entry provision for diploma holders through the Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry (JELET).
