Welcome to R.P.Sharma Institute of Technology
The Institute was established in the year 1980 in the name of Patna Institute of Technology by Late Prof. R. P. Sharma, the benevolent founder of Patna Educational Development Trust. He nurtured the institute with personal care and foresight to bring technical education within the reach of common man.
Under his visionary, dynamic and able guidance, the institute made glorious stride and developed as a full-fledged Engineering Degree College, approved by AICTE, New Delhi, affiliated to Bihar Engineering University, Patna (w.e.f. session 2018 onwards) and recognized by Science & Technology Department, Govt. of Bihar.
The institute was later renamed as R. P. Sharma Institute of Technology (Formerly Affiliated to Magadh University, Bodh Gaya) in order to commemorate the memory of its great founder Late Prof. R. P. Sharma. Many batches have passed out the B.Tech course with very good academic results and most of them are placed in renowned Govt. and Private National and Multinational Organizations. Two years full time MBA course has been started since 2008-2009 in this institute. Three years Diploma courses have also been started since 2014-2015.
Late Prof. R. P. Sharma was himself a great scholar, an eminent Professor of Philosophy at T.P.S. College, Patna and writer of more than half a dozen books on religion and culture. He was also a veteran social worker, reformer and remained in active politics for about two decades. But above all, he was a great educator and had dedicated his talent, expertise and resources to the cause of educational advancement. He established the Patna Educational Development Trust (PEDT) with the sole aim of spreading modern education of a high standard.

Welcome to R. P. Sharma Institute Of Technology, Patna. A mission began way back in 1979. The mission was to impart quality education and knowledge, to enable the young students of today to become a successful technocrats as well as a better and responsible citizen of tomorrow who can excel in various walks of life. We have come a long way since then, nevertheless, we have our promises to keep and miles to go before we achieve the ultimate goal.
I would like to thank all my employees for being the backbone of the organization and proving it time and again that we exist for a purpose- a purpose to satisfy our student’s expectations.

Any Institute is a temple of learning where knowledge is available in abundance. It depends upon the students and teachers up to what extent they earn or acquire the knowledge as well as skill. It is a mutual learning where both students and teachers can learn together during classroom, Laboratory, Practical Sessions and sky is the limit for exploring knowledge. Continuous passion of learning and updating of knowledge consistently is the Mantra to achieve desired Quality of Education.
R. P. Sharma Institute of Technology, Patna is endeavoring hard under the dynamic leadership of the Chairman Dr. Kumar Puspanjay to achieve the Aim, Vision and the Mission set by the Founder of this organization Late Prof. R. P. Sharma whom was a great Visionary, Educationist and Social Worker.
Dedicated efforts and team spirit of the well qualified competent faculty members, supporting staff and administrative staff are also playing pivotal role to impart Quality Education to the students so that they are fully equipped with tools and techniques to face the tough competition of placement in National as well as International companies.
It is my strong belief that given an opportunity, the students of this great temple of learning will prove an asset to the recruiting organizations Our Laboratories, Workshops and Library are fully equipped to fulfill the above said mission. In addition to classroom and Lab.
