🌟 About Varaha College of Architecture & Planning (VCAP), Visakhapatnam

Varaha College of Architecture & Planning (VCAP) was established in 2011 by the VLNSET group under Andhra Pradesh government approval (GO Ms No. 74, 2011; GO Ms No. 41, 2016). Initially affiliated to JNAFAU (Hyderabad), it is now under JNTU Kakinada and approved by the Council of Architecture (CoA) for a 40‑seat B.Arch intake .

🎓 Academic & Research Excellence

• Offers comprehensive programmes: B.Arch, M.Arch, B.Planning, Diploma in Architecture, and Ph.D.
• Delivers hands‑on, research-oriented curriculum that combines practical studio work with academic rigour
• Campus features: specialized studios, CAD/Revit labs, material‑testing lab, climate and survey labs, digital classrooms, and an auditorium for workshops and lectures .

🌐 Campus & Infrastructure

Located in Narava (Gopalapatnam), roughly 4 km from Simhachalam station and 6 km from Visakhapatnam Airport . Spread over ~2–2.5 acres with modern facilities:

• Library: ~2,000 books, 400+ titles, subscriptions, digital resources, CD/Audio materials, Wi‑Fi .
• Residence: Separate A/C and non-A/C hostels for boys (capacity ~80) and girls (~40), guest rooms, cafeteria, and mess.
• IT & Labs: Computer labs equipped with AutoCAD, Revit, survey and climatology labs, and high-speed Wi‑Fi .
• Sports & Wellness: Outdoor sports courts (cricket, basketball), gym, auditorium, medical center, counseling services, meditation and Art-of-Living sessions .
• Transport & Safety: Fleet of buses serving Visakhapatnam and neighboring areas, plus an emergency vehicle; the campus is equipped with security, water purifiers, and backup power .
