The aim of Miraj Assembly Constituency is to provide educational facilities to the rural students of Miraj city and the eastern part of Miraj Taluka and to enable them to get quality education. Mango. Pvt. Sharad Patil started giving recognition to colleges having Arts, Science and Commerce streams from June 1993. Colleges having arts and science or both streams started coming into existence. Despite the physical shortage in the building of Hindu Dharma School in the initial few years, due to the efforts of the young and enthusiastic teachers to improve the educational quality of the students and the cooperation of the administration, in the short term, many young men and women who have obtained degrees from the arts and science branches of the college, Navarupala Aale or Mahavidyalaya, are doing excellent work in various fields of the society.
The Maharashtra government provided three and a half acres of land at Budhgaonkar Mala in Miraj city for the college. The institution took a loan on that land and constructed a building and in 2005, the functioning of the self-owned, thoughtfully constructed college started.
The colleges were re-evaluated for the third time in the year 2019 and got 'B+' rating by NAAC or the institute which evaluates the educational colleges in the country. Due to the strong demand of the students, the Commerce Department, which was not started in the initial period, is going to be started on grant-free basis from the year 2016-17.
