Prasad V. Potluri Siddhartha Institute of Technology (PVPSIT), established in 1998 and affiliated to the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada, is one of the top-ranking private Engineering Institutes of India. The College has been accredited with ‘A+’ Grade (CGPA – 3.38 on a 7-point scale) by NAAC in 2017 and is approved by AICTE. The Institute was given autonomous status by UGC in 2012. PVPSIT College offers different Engineering and Management courses under UG and PG Programmes. The Average pay package for the batch 2023 stood at INR 32 LPA with the highest pay package of INR 44 LPA and the lowest pay package of INR 20 LPA. Almost 50% of the students who received placements were given multiple offers. The top five recruiters for this batch were companies like Amazon, Walmart, Global Tech India, TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, Wipro and Accenture and many more.

PVPSIT Courses and Fees

PVPSIT 4-year B. Tech fees are INR 2.80 Lacs and the fees for the 2-year M. Tech and MBA courses are INR 1.40 Lacs and INR 97,600, respectively. The fees are affordable for most students, considering that the Institute provides placements in some of the top-ranking companies with good packages (between INR 3-6 Lacs annually)

PVPSIT Admission

For B. Tech and B. Tech Lateral Entry Programmes, the candidates must sit for EAMCET and ECET exams, respectively, that are conducted online by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The marks obtained in these exams are considered for admission to the respective streams under B. Tech and B. Tech Lateral Entry Programmes.

For M. Tech Programmes, the marks obtained in PGECET exams are considered for admission of candidates to PVPSIT. This exam is conducted online by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The GATE Score is also considered for admission to different M. Tech courses at PVPSIT.

For MBA Programmes, the candidates must sit for ICET exam after Graduation for admission to PVPSIT. The exam is conducted online by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in this exam.

PVPSIT is one of the top private institutes in Andhra Pradesh. It has facilities such as smart classrooms and good computer and research labs.

• Central Library: The College has a fully automated central library that provides access to more than 1,00,00,000 records of books, periodicals, thesis, dissertations, etc.
• Hostel: The Institute provides hostel facilities to students of both genders. The girls hostel has 68 rooms (each accommodating 4 students) and has a capacity of 3000 students. It also has laundry service, Wi-Fi and strict security surveillance.
• Faculty: The Institute has reputed and qualified faculty who are always willing and are available to solve the queries of the students.
• Sports Programme: The College conducts the intramural sports programme that provides opportunities for students to compete in both outdoor and indoor games.
• Anti-Ragging Squad: Ragging is strictly prohibited not only within the college campus but also in the surrounding areas like bus stops. In addition to an Anti-Ragging Committee headed by the HODs and the Principal, there is an active Anti-Ragging Squad that is responsible for preventing ragging.
• Alumni: PVPSIT has a rich alumni comprising 6608 members, many of whom are placed in well-paid positions in some of the top-ranking companies of the world.
• Other Facilities: The College has a cafeteria that provides good food. Internet facilities are available throughout the campus. The College is involved in NSS and offers NCC courses to its students. Several active cultural clubs are present in the Institute.
