Uttarakhand Open University, also known as UOU, is a state-open university in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, India. Established in 2005 by the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly. UOU is recognised by the DEB, UGC, and AIU.
The Week has ranked UOU 11th in the overall category. UOU offers over 80 different programs in its 90 centres with 13 established schools.
UOU offers MA as its flagship course. Apart from that, UOU also offer various courses like MBA, BA, BCA, B.Com, M.Com, and B.Ed. The admission to UOU is based on merit and entrance scores. For the MBA program, admission is based on the CAT/MAT.
The annual fees for the MA start from INR 4700 - INR 22,900, whereas the M.Sc starts from INR 10,450 - INR 25,450.
